Pankaj Kanth is a bass player, composer, writer, and video producer. Starting his musical journey in college as a classic rock bassist, he expanded his repertoire with Tamil and Bollywood music after coming to the US in 1997, where he has been regularly performing covers of Ilayaraja, RD Burman, and numerous other musical directors. In 2011, Pankaj started a Tony Vaz Tribute Series on YouTube, which found widespread appreciation and audience. Having done a stint with an original American rock band and with forays into jazz and fusion, he has covered all genres. He currently performs regularly with his band Raagatonic, a music innovation outfit specializing in creatively reimagining Bollywood numbers.
