Chandana Bala Kalyan is primarily a Karnatak classical vocalist and graded A in both classical vocal and devotional music from All India Radio Bangalore. She is a recipient of the MS Subbulakshmi award given by Vishakha Academy of music Visakhapatnam and also Ananya puraskara given by Ananya Bangalore. She has performed all over the country with her thematic concert "Marma" which is a Confluence of spiritual poetry of poets across the country musically arranged in various Indian musical genres. She performed at the inaugural function of the Hindu November fest in 2018. She is a TEDx speaker and has spoken about how Karnatak classical music has played an integral part in her journey to embrace different genres of music. She has worked on many masterclasses and workshops especially in the last few years and thereby contributed greatly to the field of music education. Her Indian interpretation of the legendary Jazz composition take five has over 2.8 million views on Facebook.
