Mahesh Raghvan is a genius. He was trained as a Western Classical pianist and a Carnatic vocalist, while he was growing up in Dubai. But when he tried his hand over GeoShred, the app where you can slide between notes, he came up with a unique usage of simulating Indian bends and expressions using GeoShred. Soon, he was regarded as the innovator of the music he produced using the app, be it the cover version of Game of Thrones title music or Carnatic 2.0 mashup of Shape of you.
One very important aspect of all these versions is the Production aspect. Mahesh does the entire production of all his world-famous originals or cover music. Equally adept with vocals and instrumental music, equally familiar with Classical or Contemporary music, he is supremely technical with the recording gears. His worldwide collaborations range over a wide variety of instruments from electronic to acoustic instruments. He mixes and masters his tracks as well.
In this session, Mahesh is going to dig deep into the production aspects. Producing for yourself or producing for others, or producing for your own collaboration. How to take charge of your own production, and have the complete creative freedom. Even if you are getting your tracks produced elsewhere, as an artist, you also need to be aware of the choices and options, so as to make the best out of a studio recording.
